Late June / Early July

I have been searching for a new contract for the past couple of months.  The fact that there is a SAG strike starting July 1 isn't helping matters.  But I keep pushing onwards.  I hold onto small hope with Deluxe and Finale, who may be stalling as a result of the outcome of the strike.

This year has been difficult so far.  I have lost a few people dear to me in my life.  The swathe of the grim reaper has visited my mother's family twice - she lost her two eldest brothers, John in February and Sandy in June.  Both men were of great influence in my life, Sandy particularly so. I will never forget either of them.  I have personally dedicated my own work ethic to Sandy.  His one rule of work to me was "As you work through each day, the problems you encounter are little barricades between yourself and your Guinness at the end of the day!"

I have also lost a couple of other friends who moved onto greener pastures down south.  Chris and Brodie Peariso are two of the kindest people I have ever met.  I only hope that my friends in the LA area have an opportunity to experience their genuine hospitality.

Hey Max it's Sue...has my comment found you? After four years of blogging I am trying to figure out how to commercialize my work. Say living in Cape Town.
